Benoît de TRÉGLODÉ
Benoît de Tréglodé, Director of IRASEC, has a PhD in History and Civilization from the School of High Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris). He is the founder of the Research Group on Contemporary Vietnam (Sciences Po., EHESS, MSH) and of the ‘Societies and State-building in Contemporary Vietnam, Laos Cambodia’ seminar at EHESS in 2000. Before joining IRASEC, he was a former guest at EFEO in Hanoi (1994-1997) and at the Collegium Budapest (1997-98) in Hungary, after which he went on to become the Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy in Tokyo (2005-2008) in charge of Academic Cooperation. He has written several books on Vietnam, including "Heroes and Revolution in Vietnam" (L’Harmattan, in French), "Birth of a State-Party – Vietnam since 1945" (with C. Goscha, Les Indes Savantes, in French and English), and "Contemporary Vietnam" (with S. Dovert, Les Indes Savantes – Irasec, in French).

Arnaud LEVEAU
Arnaud Leveau completed a part of his studies in Beijing before starting his professional career in Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City. Formerly the Head of the Asia Department at the Institute of International Social Cooperation, he co-founded the Asia Pacific Research Association (APAR) and Focus Southeast Asia magazine. He has been a news correspondent for several French and international publications before becoming Deputy Director of the Research Institute on Contemporary Southeast Asia. He is particularly interested in the Chinese communities of Southeast Asia and in the development of relations between South Korea and Southeast Asia.

SUMANAN RANGSIYANONDHA
A graduate of the Faculte des Lettres, Sumanan RANGSIYANONDHA continued her studies in Anthropology at Thammasat University, Bangkok. She joined IRASEC as secretary general in 2003.

Mikaël BRODU
Mikael Brodu enjoys juggling with digital images, whether they be photos, maps, charts, or traditional arts creations. A graduate from the école européenne supérieure des arts et technologies de l'image, in Poitiers, he has been based in Bangkok since 2002.

JIRADEJ MAHAWANNAKIJ
Jiradej Mahawannakij is an Honours graduate from the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University (2006). Mr. Jiradej Mahawannakij was a beneficiary of a French government scholarship in 2000 to study French language and culture. He has joined IRASEC as information officer and administrative assistant since June 2008. His personal interests focus mainly on European Civilization and the European Union. His latest work is a contribution to a book entitled “The European Union and its 27 member states” (in Thai language) published by the Centre for European Studies at Chulalongkorn University.

Anne-Lise SAUTEREY
Anne-Lise Sauterey is a geographer and a cartographer, who is specialized in Geopolitics and in Strategic Studies. She is doing a PhD in Geopolitical Sciences at the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, regarding the stakes and limits of strategies against drugs between Burma, Lao PDR and Thailand. Since September 2008 she has been in charge of an observatory on illicit trafficking within the Mekong sub-region. This structure is based within IRASEC. Its aim is to study and to publish studies relating to cross-border illicit activities.

Alice DUBOT
Graduated from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux, France, in 2008 and holding a Master Degree in International Cooperation and Development, Alice Dubot continued her academic formation at the Institute of Urbanism, Faculty of Geography of La Sorbonne in the management of natural risks and at Inalco within the Southeast Asia Department (Thai language). Previously in charge of the climate change issue in Thailand, Alice Dubot is based in Bangkok since 2009.
