preliminary results from Gemmes

GEMMES VN Project is launching a webinar series dedicated to disseminate its preliminary research results. This series would take the form of 5 Workshop from December 2020 and be organized in Hanoi and online for participants.

 

We will have the 1st webinar/seminar session on 03 December 2020 (Thursday) from 15:30 Vietnam time (GMT+7), with some papers as below:

  1. Building high-resolution future climate scenarios in Vietnam using the Bias Corrected Spatial Disaggregation downscaling approach (Authors: Quan Tran Anh, Thanh Ngo Duc, Espagne Etienne)
  2. Scenarios of sea-level rise, subsidence and salinity intrusion in the Mekong (Author: Eslami Arab Sepehr)
  3. The GEMMES platform: what should be presented and how? (Author: Thanh Ngo Duc (USTH team))

This first session will be dedicated to climate simulation results at the national level, and simulations of salinity intrusion in the Mekong delta under different subsidence and climate scenarios. Finally an interactive platform will be presented to visualize different climate scenarios over Vietnam.
