Steven PRIGENT
Associate Research Fellow
Steven PRIGENT is an anthropologist affiliated with the University of Bordeaux and the Passages Laboratory (CNRS UMR 5319), and a member of the Association for Exchange and Training in Khmer Studies (AEFEK). He has been conducting surveys in rural Cambodia since 2008. He has just completed a monographic work entitled “Les Vagabonds et la Dette. L’éducation au Cambodge en milieu rural”. His current work focuses on the role played by schools - state, monastic, Chinese and private - in the social and political organisation of rural and semi-rural Cambodia.
