Vanny EL RAHMAN

Vanny El Rahman is a doctoral researcher in Asia-Pacific Regional Studies at National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Relations. His research interests include migration studies, migrant labor unions, Taiwan’s migrant worker regime, as well as terrorism and radicalism. His current research focuses on Indonesian migrant care workers in Taiwan and migrant-led unions. In addition to his academic work, Vanny has been a journalist since 2017 and has been engaged in empowerment activities with migrant worker organizations.
