Postdoctoral research stay

The Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) and the Institut de recherche sur l’Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine (IRASEC) are offering 2 to 3 month mobility grants for young researchers who have defended their thesis no earlier than 2020 to carry out a research project in a country in Southeast Asia.

Grants will be given to research projects that are in line with IRASEC’s scientific policy, in synergy with its researchers and partners. Interdisciplinary projects are welcome.

La Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) et l’Institut de recherche sur l’Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine (IRASEC) proposent à des postdoctorant.e.s résidant en France et ayant soutenu leur thèse à partir de 2019, une aide à la mobilité pour réaliser un séjour de recherche de 2 ou 3 mois dans les pays d’Asie du Sud-Est (Brunei, Cambodge, Indonésie, Laos, Malaisie, Philippines, Singapour, Thaïlande, Timor-Leste, Vietnam).

IRASEC Discussion Papers Series

The IRASEC Discussion Paper Series is an online publication on contemporary issues in Southeast Asia. The Papers benefit from a double review process, an internal one from the editors and a blind peer review from a specialist of the field. IRASEC ensures an avenue for swift publication, quality of the final product and wide dissemination of research. Articles are accepted in both English and French languages. The format is flexible, with a length of 6 000 to 15 000 words.

As part of the relationship developed with the CNRS,
the AXA Research Fund, will be offering up to 25 Post-Doctoral Fellowships. The applicants can be awarded a grant for up to €130,000 for an 18 to 24-month period.
