Marvin Freyne is a doctoral student in anthropology at Paris Cité University, affiliated with the Center for Population and Development (CEPED – UMR 196 : Paris Cité University, IRD, Sorbonne Paris Nord University, Inserm). His thesis, supervised by Laëtitia Atlani-Duault (IRD/CEPED) & Myriam de Loenzien (IRD/CEPED), focuses on the mobilizations in Vietnam and France resulting from the long-term consequences of Agent Orange spraying.

He is proposing an interdisciplinary thesis in anthropology and geography that aims to document, question, and investigate the legal, political, and artistic mobilizations against an ecocide perpetrated during the Second Indochina War, whose health and ecological consequences continue to be felt decades later.
