IRASEC 2023 field grants awardee
Léo Kyriacopoulos is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), within the Centre Asie du Sud-Est (CASE). His doctoral thesis explores the development of social enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, combining cultural and economic anthropological approaches to identify socio-economic changes specific to the region, which in turn reveal trends in global development policies. He is also co-administrator of the multidisciplinary research group Saigon Social Sciences Hub (SSSH). Residing in Ho Chi Minh City since 2022, he is hosted by the EFEO where he has worked with Fulbright University and the University of Economy and Finance. He has been awarded grants from IRASEC (2023), EHESS (2022), and LabEx TEPSIS (2021 and 2023), among others. He also does consulting work.
