Richard MANIN

 

 

Mr. Richard Manin, is a French reporter and photographer. He has been working with SIPA press agency for long, and has gained recognition through several important stories in the most prominent French and international news magazines. Figaro Magazine published his works on Caspian Sea offshore oil rigs, Turkmenistan’s salt mines, Zebra-dove singing contests in southern Thailand and long-distance sheep transhumance in the French Alps. Paris Match magazine published both his works on the retrocession of Hong Kong to the People’s Republic of China, and on Ecuador’s gold mines. The Spanish edition of Geo magazine published his coverage on teak wood exploitation in Burma. Other articles appeared in Newsweek, Focus, The Sunday Telegraph, the Korean edition of Geo, Le Courrier international. Richard Manin also was for several years a collaborator of Grands Reportages magazine. Several of his reports were shown at the Photo-Journalism Festival in Perpignan and exhibited in Paris. Through his sincere and universal photographic work, he aims to share and tell people’s lives, and ultimately to be a witness to the world.
