The French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) organises a roundtable entitled ‘Cities in Transition in Southeast Asia. New Challenges for Urban Development’, in partnership with the Research Institute on Contemporary Southeast Asia (IRASEC) and Alliance Française Bangkok, in the presence of the Ambassador of France in Thailand.

Speakers from various disciplines (architecture, urban planning, and geography) will discuss issues raised by urban development in South-East Asia, through the cases of Bangkok, Hanoi, Phnom Penh and Vientiane, as well as original solutions to face those challenges.
