Marco SCARPATI

Prof. Marco Scarpati is an Italian Barrister at the Supreme Court, born in Reggio Emilia (Italy). Formerly Professor of Comparative Family Law at Parma University, he is currently a Professor of International Child protection Law at the University of Milan-Bicocca, and he teaches International Law and International Organization law at Parma University. He has been President of Italy’s ECPAT (“End Child Prostitution, Abuse and Trafficking”) since 2002. He published a number of articles on child protection laws, human rights protection, international adoption, trafficking of human beings, sexual exploitation of children, international conventions on the protection of children, and the IPEC convention.
