Qu’un numéro entier de la revue Archipel soit consacré à une île d’Insulinde en particulier, et au demeurant à une île peu connue, n’est pas si fréquent. Cette île constitue un cas exemplaire : dans le cadre d’un programme pluridisciplinaire mené entre 2019 et 2024, plusieurs chercheurs de différentes disciplines et nationalités (France, Brésil, Timor-Est) ont uni leurs expériences et leurs compétences pour explorer l’île d’Atauro à travers une approche participative de son patrimoine local. Ce numéro spécial restitue certains résultats de ce projet. Il met en lumière les différentes expressions et représentations du patrimoine de cette île, ainsi que les mécanismes à l’origine des transformations actuelles, en s’appuyant principalement sur la perspective des habitants, mise en dialogue avec le regard scientifique.

Éric Daudé vient de publier un chapitre co-écrit avec Alexandre Cebeillac, intitulé Daily Mobility and the Spread of Communicable Infectious Diseases dans l’ouvrage Everyday Mobility and Health dirigé par Julie Vallée.

Communicable infectious diseases are caused by microorganisms, called pathogens (viruses, fungi, bacteria, parasites) that infect a living organism, called the host. This chapter summarizes the evolution of knowledge on the contagiousness of diseases and their modes of transmission in an epidemic context, emphasizing the link between daily mobility and epidemiology. It addresses the modeling of daily mobility and discusses different modeling methods and the concepts used in an epidemic context. Special emphasis is placed on the most recent classes of models, namely individual-based models. These models integrate geographic information as well as social and epidemiological knowledge into a single formalism, enabling exploration of a wide variety of scenarios. Finally, the chapter prompts a selective literature review, dedicated to the data currently in use to better understand daily mobility and to calibrate increasingly detailed epidemiological models.

This open access handbook aims to constitute a reference point on political norm dynamics in Southeast Asia, by bringing together the array of normative repertoires that frame the possibilities for citizens to participate in, set agendas for, make decisions in, and contest, not only electoral and institutional politics but also informal and imaginary political spaces. It sheds light on intersecting political and social transformations and their consequences from the vantage point of political norms. While chapters lay out and analyse how political norms across Southeast Asia have been shaped in successive historical phases, the core of the handbook addresses current dynamics involved in defining and transforming political norms.

Jérémy Ianni a co-dirigé avec Houria Meddas l’ouvrage Pour une éducation sentimentale et affective édité aux éditions du Cygne, dans lequel il a également écrit un chapitre intitulé La rencontre sentimentale avec la divinité : une altérité de l’invisible, basé sur son travail de recherche à Manille.

De façon pluridisciplinaire et multiréférentielle, cet ouvrage présente des points de vue différents et ouverts sur l’importance des éléments sentimentaux et affectifs présents dans toute relation éducative. Le sentimental et l’affectivité dont il est question, c’est le tissage permanent de sentiments fruits de notre sensibilité, de notre capacité à être ému, touché par les autres et le monde. Vivre ce sentimental et cet affectif, c’est du coup changer, se transformer continuellement, c’est-à-dire être en état d’altération permanente et d’éducation tout au long de notre vie.

The coup of February 1st, 2021 in Myanmar brought misery to many millions of people across the country. Widespread opposition to military rule also inspired a variety of resourceful and creative gestures of defiance among people across the country, across almost every sector and across different ethnic groups, with many leading roles assumed by youth. While the mainstream revolution self-identifies with violent means, the majority of people have opted for civilian resistance, more or less openly expressed. Attempts to describe the impact of the coup on everyday life highlights the multi-dimensional nature of the resistance, and the diversity of expression in an extremely constrained context.
