The Research Institute on Contemporary Southeast Asia (IRASEC) invites applications for its ASEAN Doctoral Field Research Grant. This new grant is open to candidates of all ASEAN nationalities who are currently enrolled in a doctoral program at a university within the ASEAN region and pursuing research on contemporary Southeast Asia.

Coorganized by the Research Institute on Contemporary Southeast Asia (IRASEC), the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, and the Asian Research Institute for Environmental Law (ARIEL), with the support of Norwegian People’s Aid.

The French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the Embassy of France in Indonesia, Timor-Leste and to ASEAN, the Indonesian Ministry of Health, and ASEAN, are organizing with the Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and with the support of the Indonesia National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and of the French Agricultural Research Centre for Sustainable Development (CIRAD), an ASEAN-France One Health Conference on 25-26 November 2025.

La Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) et l’Institut de recherche sur l’Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine (IRASEC) proposent à des postdoctorant.e.s résidant en France et ayant soutenu leur thèse à partir de 2019, une aide à la mobilité pour réaliser un séjour de recherche de 2 ou 3 mois dans les pays d’Asie du Sud-Est (Brunei, Cambodge, Indonésie, Laos, Malaisie, Philippines, Singapour, Thaïlande, Timor-Leste, Vietnam).

L’IRASEC et l’Institut français de Singapour mettent au concours une bourse postdoctorale SHS dédiée à la recherche de terrain à Singapour.

Cette bourse sera destinée à des chercheurs de toutes nationalités, ayant soutenu après le 1er décembre 2020 un doctorat en Sciences humaines et sociales au sein d’universités françaises ou européennes. L’objectif principal de cette initiative est d’accompagner des projets qui visent à apporter une perspective originale et novatrice sur la Cité-État de Singapour. Les approches comparatives avec d’autres pays sont les bienvenues.
